His addition follows the arrival, in January, of Numa Rengot, the partner who founded and heads up Franklin’s Restructuring, Corporate Recovery and Distressed M&A practice, signifying the firm’s commitment to solidifying its position as a leader in the Restructuring market.
Arnaud Pédron brings over 26 years of experience, first working at firms of creditors’ representatives, then, since 2001, at major law firms. Now a fully qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Paris and the department of Hauts-de-Seine, Arnaud focuses his practice on bankruptcy, insolvency and corporate restructuring. He also routinely assists with court-supervised asset disposals and structuring security packages.
He advises directors, officers, shareholders, business or financial partners, buyers and lenders of financially troubled companies. He leverages his expertise to provide investors and distressed businesses with clear and actionable insight into the intricacies of French insolvency law and devise the best strategy for their individual circumstances.
Like many other partners at Franklin, Arnaud Pédron is recognized for his ability to lead and coordinate work on international mandates. Arnaud and Numa Rengot will be able to leverage their combined expertise and experience to handle complex mandates and offer cutting-edge, bespoke services to French and international clients across a wide range of industries.
Very active in his field, Arnaud Pédron is a member of the Bar Council of the Hauts-de-Seine department (Paris area), the Turnaround Capital committee of the French Association of Investors for Growth, France Invest. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences, webinars and majors events in his field.
Arnaud Pédron is Franklin’s thirteenth new partner in 2020 alone, proving that the firm is not letting the Covid crisis halt its growth march.
“We are happy to welcome Arnaud, only a few months after Numa, to reinforce our Restructuring and Distressed M&A practice. This new hire is a further step in the ambitious growth policy we have been pursuing since last year” said Yam Atallah, co-founder of the firm and partner in the Corporate-M&A and Private Equity practice.
Commenting on joining Franklin, Arnaud Pédron said: “Restructuring attorneys handle matters of life and death for troubled businesses. These complex, high-stakes mandates require team work and the ability to deliver solutions tailored to each client. It is a fascinating subject that diverges from ordinary law and requires excellence, creativity and flexibility. Franklin’s full-service offer and its international ‘best friends’ network are major attractions and benefits for our clients, and the key to our growth”.
Numa Rengot, partner in charge of Franklin’s Restructuring – Distressed M&A practice added: “In September, our department had already reached the objectives announced in early 2020, thanks largely to strong synergies with the firm’s other practice groups. With Arnaud’s addition, we have reached the critical size required to continue to handle complex, multi-faceted mandates. Arnaud’s extensive knowledge of the reorganization/ bankruptcy ecosystem will be paramount in meeting our clients’ high expectations and helping them navigate the reforms slated for the first quarter of 2021”.
