Franklin brings in Céline Greenberg to head up new international arbitration practice
French independent law firm Franklin is widening its service offering by hiring partner Céline Greenberg to head up its new international arbitration practice.
Céline Greenberg brings over fifteen years of experience serving as counsel and arbitrator in domestic and international arbitration, and in arbitration-related proceedings before French courts (recognition or enforcement of arbitral awards, annulment proceedings, etc.).
A new partner with Franklin, she will advise on arbitration proceedings across a variety of sectors including energy, transport, defense, aerospace, distribution and franchising.
Having begun practicing with major international law firms in 2009, Céline Greenberg went on to work for Professor Pierre Mayer as an associate in 2016, then partnered with him to found the firm Mayer Greenberg. Her excellent strategic skills and extensive arbitration expertise (which includes serving as secretary to some fifteen arbitral tribunals chaired by Pierre Mayer, including in the largest ICC case in history, with USD 77bn in dispute) make her a key figure of her generation.
As a partner with Franklin, Céline Greenberg will be able to leverage her rare experience as both counsel and arbitrator to advise French and international clients, and to rely on the many synergies already thriving within the firm.
Céline Greenberg holds a bilingual Master II degree in European rights, with an emphasis in English and American law, from the University of Paris X Nanterre and an LLM in International Law from the University of Bristol. She also participated in founding the Paris Very Young Arbitration Practitioners network (PVYAP) and chairs the Young Arbitrators Match to pass on her expertise to young arbitration practitioners.
