Labor and Employment Law partners Myriam Delawari-de Gaudusson and Patrick Thiébart join Franklin
Franklin has been joined by a team of 8 lawyers led by partners Myriam Delawari-de Gaudusson and Patrick Thiébart, who have built a strong transactional and litigation practice assisting French and international corporations and executives.
Admitted to practice in Paris in 2002, Myriam Delawari-de Gaudusson advises and represents French and international clients, especially financial institutions and investment funds, on all aspects of labor and employment relations (restructurings, workforce issues in M&A, executive compensation packages (LBOs/departures), labor and employment audits, collective bargaining). She also has recognized expertise in employee benefits (death and disability, pension) as well as employee savings, stock ownership and incentive plans.
Admitted to practice in Paris in 1992 and a returning partner at Franklin, Patrick Thiébart is welcomed back into the fold. He routinely assists French and international businesses, including large industrial groups, with the full range of labor and HR issues they face. His practice is focused on compliance programs, corporate restructurings, labor and employment disputes, as well as workforce issues in M&A and private equity deals. Patrick Thiébart also advises on whistleblower protection issues.
Commenting on this major addition to the firm, Franklin’s partners said: “Myriam and Patrick’s unique blend of skills and internationally focused practice will fit seamlessly with our core strengths in corporate, M&A, compliance and anti-corruption law.”
An internationally focused practice
Myriam Delawari-de Gaudusson, with her French-American and Iranian background, and Patrick Thiébart, who has garnered recognition in the US and Europe for his cross-border transactions work, are committed to furthering the firm’s international growth, especially with clients in the finance sector and with large US corporations.
Myriam and Patrick are members of the American Bar Association (ABA). They regularly attend ABA meetings and events, where Patrick, who is also a member of the European Lawyers’ Association (ELA), is a frequent speaker.
A leading compliance and anti-corruption practice
Patrick Thiébart will leverage whistleblower protection expertise to advise on compliance and anti-corruption matters in close collaboration with Michel Sapin, who joined the firm in October 2019.
A new era for Franklin
This new lateral hire positions Franklin as one of the leading full-service law firms in Paris.
The synergies between the firm’s various practices will be built not only on strong interactions between its teams, but also on a convergence of interests and values.
Patrick Thiébart and Myriam Delawari-de Gaudusson share the same enthusiasm: “We are very excited to join Franklin and we look forward to combining our expertise with that of this independent French law firm. With our ability to grasp the cultural challenges and the new labor and employment issues brought on by economic changes, especially in the digital era, we are ideally positioned to handle the full range of legal issues arising from these new paradigms.”
