Numericable-SFR has announced that it has entered exclusive talks to buy Altice Media Group France, a diversified media group that owns over 20 major publications in France (Libération, L’Express, L’Expansion, L’Etudiant, Stratégies…). Altice Media Group France runs the international news channel i24 News.
Numericable-SFR has also announced the acquisition of Altice N.V.’s 49% minority stake in NextRadioTV, which it bought in December 2015 as part of its strategic alliance with Alain Weill. NextRadioTV is a leading news group focused on mainstream news, sports, business, high-tech and discovery (BFMTV, RMC, RMC découverte, BFM Business, 01net.com, with a stake in Numéro 23…).
Numericable-SFR was advised by Franklin, with partner Christian Sauer, Of Counsel Virginie Brault-Scaillet and associates Paloma Champilou and Djésia Meziani handling corporate matters and partner Claire Fougea and Of Counse Marion Brière-Ségala handling labor and employment law issues.
